15 June 2017
Dear clients,
Bank of England is the central bank of the United Kingdom, which sets key interest rates for financial markets of the country and influences monetary policy of the Kingdom.
This Thursday, on June 15 at 11 a.m. GMT BoE meeting will be held to make decision on interest rate. Leading FreshForex analyst Catherine Main tells what to expect from this meeting:
“In May Great Britain inflation set a new high for the last 4 years. Mark Carney (Governor of the Bank of England) and his colleagues now are thinking about how to avoid excessive inflation. We may expect BoE to keep interest rate unchanged, also important comments on probability of a rate hike might be made. For that reason we'd rather enter long on GBP/USD and short on EUR/GBP.”
