The dollar managed to halt the impulsive upward movement of the unexpectedly aggressive euro. Initially, much effort was expended to quell all the opponent's urges, after which pressure began to mount, leading to a gradual and steady decline.
Presumably, this marks the beginning of a correction, which forms part of Wave 4. If this is true, we will soon see price movement in the form of a zigzag. The possible trajectory of this movement is schematically depicted in the chart provided.
Given the limited potential of this movement, correspondingly modest trading goals are recommended.
