The General Electric Company has announced an upcoming 8-to-1 reverse share split. Thus, 8 old shares will be replaced with one new one at an increased price.
General Electric Company is an American diversified corporation that produces many types of equipment, including locomotives, power plants (including nuclear reactors), gas turbines, aircraft engines, medical equipment, and others.
Analysts expect that the rise in the share's value will potentially attract large investors who are used to buying up expensive assets, but due to the current low value, they did not consider these securities to add to their portfolios. At the same time, the capitalization of the company today is over 100 billion US dollars!
From August 2, trading on the #GenElectr instrument will start at new prices.
Please note that on July 30 (Friday):
— the Close only mode will operate for the #GenElectr instrument;
— all open positions in #GenElectr must be closed by clients, and pending orders must be deleted no later than 22:55 server time under clause 10.7 of the Regulations for trading operations;
— the remaining open trades will be forcibly closed by the company at the session closing prices, and pending orders will be deleted.
